Face masks are required at Rossbrook House

  A face mask or face covering is required inside of Rossbrook House, inside the Rossbrook House vans, or while on an outing with Rossbrook House.   In accordance with the Province of Manitoba*  and in order to keep our staff and participants safe we are asking that everyone wear a face mask or face covering inside Rossbrook House.   The following face coverings are acceptable: disposable medical or non-medical masks bandanas scarves cloth masks   Masks will be provided to participants. Plans for Fall 2020

  Rossbrook House has remained open for children and youth, 24 hours, since the school closures on March 16, 2020.   It is our new record for staying open 24/7.  Five and a half months! Rossbrook House has returned to a regular schedule. As of August 30, 2020, we have returned to weekday hours of 8am to Midnight. Every Weekend and all school holidays we are open 24 hours. What hasn’t changed: After school programming will happen, as usual, with appropriate precautions in terms of size of groups, social distancing and masks when required. Safe rides home continue. Summer Is Not Cancelled

  Summer is not cancelled at Rossbrook House   Throughout the month of June, every $1 donated to Rossbrook House is an automatic entry for us to win $20,000 through the Great Canadian Giving Challenge. COVID-19 Pandemic and Rossbrook House

The COVID-19 Pandemic has compounded the need and the challenge to serve children and youth in our community. We are staying open around the clock at Rossbrook House as we focus on the basics of food and a safe place to go when so many doors are closed. We continue to balance our need to keep the children and youth, as well as our staff and community, safe. Cold City Warm Hearts 2020

    For the fourth year in a row, FortWhyte Alive generously opened their doors for a fun evening in February to 100 youngsters from Rossbrook House and Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba (IRCOM). We once again celebrated winter with “Cold City, Warm Hearts”.
