Fun and Games 2019

The annual Summer Games at Rossbrook House signal the end of the summer break from school. While it’s sad to say goodbye to such a great summer, the Summer Games are more than just tradition. The children and youth cheer each other on- even though they may be competing for prizes- there is laughter and lots of friendly competition.       Outdoor sports and races, indoor activities- like playing pool and arm wrestling, plus Inuit games and a whole lot of fun! Summer Adventures 2019

Summer is coming to a close. I think we can all agree, it went way too fast! The children and youth who spend their summer with Rossbrook House have been BUSY! From catching your first fish and jumping off the dock into the cool waters at camp… to spending a heavenly day on the beach with your buddies… going for a ride to get an ice cream in Lockport or going with your family to a fabulous evening at the zoo… Isn’t that what summer is all about?

This is What Summer 2019 Looks Like at Rossbrook House

Smiling faces! Fun outings! Camp! Getting crafty in the play room. And hanging out with your friends.   Check out what the children and youth have been doing so far this summer! It’s been a very warm summer. Rossbrook House participants have been able to keep cool by going swimming to local pools and beaches. Here they are having a blast at Transcona Aquatic Park. For two weeks every summer, Rossbrook House youth spend a week at Camp Maskwa for fishing, boating, swimming and lot s’mores fun!! #NewAdventures2019 Nothing says summer better than jumping off the dock into the refreshing lake!

From fun outings exploring Manitoba’s hot spots, to going away to camp, or enjoying an ice-cream and hanging out with friends, this is what summer looks like at Rossbrook House. That’s what summer is made for, right? This is what summer looks like video Summer at Rossbrook House means the doors never close. Rossbrook is open 24 hours from the last day of school in June until the first day in September. Farewell Concert

The Barrel Boys and The O’Pears were in Winnipeg to perform at the West End Cultural Centre. They also gave a performance at Rossbrook House in honour of Sister Bernadette O’Reilly and Sister Margaret Hughes. They had the crowd clapping and singing along, and up on their feet. It was a special evening. As Rossbrook House Executive Director Phil Chiappetta said, “The Sisters wanted something simple and at Rossbrook.
