Summer is on at Rossbrook House! “Summer at Rossbrook House is always memorable. School is out and our doors are open 24 hours a day. It’s a time for fun activities. Everything is free. The two calendars for the children and youth are filled with beach days, Camp Maskwa, traditional teachings, and the summer games. Rossbrook House is hiring a Program Coordinator Program Coordinators are accountable to one of the two Program and Operations Managers. Main responsibilities include: planning, coordinating, and delivering programs and activities for children (Energy Plus, ages 6-11 years). Engaging with children and youth. The Energy Plus Program Coordinator exercises a degree of independence, initiative and judgment while performing a variety of tasks in support of all aspects of Rossbrook House operations, including rides to and from outside activities and safe rides home. Valerie Henderson first discovered Rossbrook House when she was just 12 years old. Today she is a long-time staff member, a mother, and a grandmother, who has seen many young people walk through the doors of Rossbrook House.   “I’ve been working evenings at Rossbrook House for a couple of decades. Scholarship Application Process for 2024

Rossbrook House staff and board members proudly provide community members with scholarships. Thanks to the Rossbrook House Foundation, many family foundations, and other generous supporters, Rossbrook House annually provides several scholarships at the Open House in November.   Who can apply: If you are a current/former staff or current/former participant or student from one of the three off-campus school programs and are enrolled or planning to enroll in a post-secondary program this fall, you can apply. Mosaic Tile Project Revealed

After 48 years, the exterior of Rossbrook House has a new look! On May 2, 2024, a crowd gathered (in the rain) to witness the unveiling of an exciting project that had been happening at Rossbrook House for several months. Drop-in participants and the students from Eagles’ Circle worked with artist Ursula Neufeld, learning how to create using mosaic tiles. No Child Alone Dinner 2024 Thank You

Celebrating the words that Sister MacNamara spoke many years ago, ‘No child who does not want to be alone, should ever have to be’… at a fundraising dinner. The No Child Alone Dinner was created to celebrate the first 40 years of Rossbrook House in 2016. Jennifer Flamand, has been involved with Rossbrook House since 2009 as a teacher in two of their off-campus schools, Eagles’ Circle Junior High and Rising Sun High School. The connections that we form with students are like no other school I have ever experienced. The spaces provided to us by Rossbrook House provide a comfortable atmosphere.
