This year marks two decades since May was proclaimed Leave a LegacyTM Month in Manitoba.
Rossbrook House Foundation is grateful to be able to participate in this awareness program, started by Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) Manitoba, through Planned Giving and our Legacy Circle.
Planned Gifts
Planned Gifts are major gifts made in collaboration with a donor’s financial and/or estate planning. The most common type of Planned Gift is a bequest – a gift left in one’s will.
Prior estates received have allowed Rossbrook House to improve services and keep up with the growing demand. Click here to learn more about how Planned Gifts help Rossbrook House.
While making your wishes known to your loved ones can be an uncomfortable conversation, it is a great way to share your passion about Rossbrook House and ensure your wishes are fulfilled after your passing.
Legacy Circle
While many choose to keep their Planned Gifts anonymous, those who inform Rossbrook House of theirs become members of the Legacy Circle.
It’s beneficial to plan for our own future and what these Legacy Circle members are doing is planning for the future of others— the future of Rossbrook House, and the dozens of children and youth that walk through the doors every day.
Every year, as part of Leave a LegacyTM Month, Rossbrook House Foundation highlights a member of our Legacy Circle. For 2021 we’re featuring Tom Dooley.
“A legacy gift is a way of confirming to yourself, your family, and your friends what you have discovered to be important and meaningful during your lifetime,” Tom said.
