It was a gorgeous August evening, sunny and warm, the perfect setting for a lovely walk through the Assiniboine Park Zoo. Over 60 children and their families from Rossbrook House were guests of the Assiniboine Park Conservancy’s Wildest Dreams event. Excited visitors were treated to face painting, hamburgers and ice cream, hugs from local mascots and princesses, bouncing fun, plus all of the unique enjoyment that the zoo offers; from polar bears to dinosaurs, butterflies, seals and underwater divers! Dozens of volunteers and zoo staff were on hand to answer questions about the polar bears or to help a child pet a snake for the first time! They helped to make this experience an amazing one for every person there. And it was easy to see, by looking at all of the happy faces, how much they enjoyed themselves.
