The St Charles’ Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament once again raised $50,000 for the Young Mothers’ Program. Thank you to the organizing committee and all those who donated and participated for your generosity!
This Summer the Chipman Family Foundation donated 10 iPads to the Learning Always program. The participants use the iPads to play educational games. And will be using them to follow a math program. The OneBillion app focuses on math skills for ages 3-5 and 4-6. The OneBillion program delivers educational apps and devices to children in developing countries.
The Rotary Club of Winnipeg West sponsored a community barbeque for area families. And, their volunteers helped to break in the new barbeque that they generously donated to Rossbrook House
100 children and their families from Rossbrook House were treated, for the 2nd year in a row, to a night at Assiniboine Park Zoo by the Assiniboine Park Conservancy. Wildest Dreams included free admission, food, face-painting and a ton of FUN!
The Richardson International GenNext Winnipeg team hosted a group of participants from Rossbrook House to Kelburn Farm where they learned hands-on about grains.
The Richardson team also, for the 2nd year in a row, collected and donated backpacks and school supplies for both the Wi Wabigooni students and the Learning Always participants. From rulers and crayons to water bottles and binders, the kids were thrilled!
