Rossbrook House is hiring an Intermediate Program Coordinator

Program Coordinators are accountable to one of the two Programs and Operations Managers.  They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering programs and activities with assigned focus on specific age groups. The Intermediate Program Coordinator plans for ages:  12-17 years, and young adults, including young mothers.

The Program Coordinator exercises a degree of independence, initiative and judgement and performs a variety of tasks in support of all aspects of Rossbrook House operations, including rides to and from outside activities, as well as safe rides home at the end of programming.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans programs and activities for assigned groups – creating monthly calendars.
  • Organizes and delivers activities and outings for assigned participants.
  • Takes a leadership role in engaging youth in activities.
  • Checks with the other Program Coordinators to ensure harmony between scheduled activities and resources available.
  • Coordinates supervision of activities, use of the van, and other resources pertaining to their program area.
  • Collects activity reports for their area of programming and completes reports related to their program outcomes.
  • Provides hospitality to all participants, volunteers and visitors – taking time to focus on their needs and finding the best way to accommodate them.
  • Deals with participants’ behavior in a manner that focuses on the behavior rather than the individual.
  • Participates in supervisory shifts as required and scheduled.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Performs van driving duties
    • to meet activity needs
    • to provide safe rides home for participants

Requirements:

  • A desire to work with children and youth.
  • A valid Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a class 4 licence within a 3-month period of hiring.
  • Is open to participate in ongoing training.
  • Has effective communication skills with supervisor, peers, and participants.
  • Is a good team member.

Salary range dependent upon qualifications $38,000 – $ 41,537 / year
