Christmas Eve Feast 2023

Rossbrook House was delighted to host the Christmas Eve Feast for the Sons and Daughters of Italy Garibaldi Lodge.

Almost 200 community members were served a delicious Christmas Eve Feast on Sunday, December 24 in two seatings.

Rossbrook House participants and their families enjoyed a meal of traditional and Italian dishes. The festivities included a visit from Santa and gift bags for each family.

“This heartwarming celebration of community spirit provides a delicious meal on Christmas Eve, and also a sense of belonging and togetherness at this special time of year”, said Rossbrook House Executive Director Patty Mainville.

“Christmas is a special time of giving for Italians and is in keeping with giving back to our community roots, we appreciate being able to help the multicultural people in this community,” said event Co-chair Reno Augellone from Sons and Daughters of Italy.

John Giavedoni, event Co-chair continues, “this event embodies the Christmas spirit of giving. It is part of the Italian culture to share, so we are happy to share a beautiful meal with the Rossbrook House community, and we look forward to the smiles of the children as they see Santa Claus and receive toys.”

Sons and Daughters of Italy are proud to be sharing the spirit of the holidays and are thankful to their major sponsors; X-Cues Billiards and Café, Salisbury House and Ninho du Portugal, Pretium Projects Ltd., Canadian Footwear Ltd., and Nakina Electronics Inc., as well as Rossbrook House for helping to make this annual event happen once again.

Thank you to Sons and Daughters of Italy and their many volunteers for making this event happen for Rossbrook House families. It was a wonderful way for the children and youth to show their families where they spend so much of their time, after school and on weekends.
