Rossbrook House Foundation welcomes Kaelin as its new Development Officer, and the Foundation’s sole staff member. A recent graduate of the University of British Columbia Okanagan, Kaelin holds a BA in Philosophy and Political Science. She has been a dedicated community volunteer from a young age and describes having long felt called to mission-oriented work. Annual Community Meeting 2025 was held on June 26 at Rossbrook House. Thank you to all who attended and joined us for breakfast. Summer Fun 2025
Summer 2025 has officially begun at Rossbrook House. Our doors will remain open 24 hours until the end of August. Ages 6 to 24 can drop in for activities, outings, daily meals and more! Camp Maskwa will be happening for two weeks in July for the youth. (Participants should pre-register with staff.) The playroom is open for ages 6-11.. No Child Alone Dinner 2025- oh what a night!
Rossbrook House Foundation hosted the 2025 No Child Alone Dinner on April 24 at RBC Convention Centre. 320 guests enjoyed a delicious meal while learning more about Rossbrook House programs. Participants from Rossbrook House began the night with a Grand Entry. The evening raised awareness and funds for programs. The silent auction was a huge success with over 35 prize packages. Thank you to all who donated these items! There was also a fun auction to raise funds the Young Mothers’ program. Barry Kay hosted this ‘fund-a-need’ portion of the evening. Hello and thank you for being a Rossbrook House supporter. My history with Rossbrook House began long before I was born. My grandma, Vera Missyabit, was instrumental in building the early Rossbrook House community. Her home was a second Rossbrook House to many of the early participants. There was always something good to eat, and lessons to learn about generosity and caring for the community. She was a beloved source of strength.
