Located at the corner of Ross Avenue and Sherbrook Street in the Centennial area of Winnipeg MB, it offers a constant alternative to children and youth.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Officer will work with the Rossbrook House leadership team to prioritize administrative and fund development initiatives that lead to increased donor engagement and the achievement of annual revenue goals.

Responsibilities
• Support the development and implementation of annual donor campaigns, from concept development to ensuring all fundraising campaigns are delivered on time and on budget.
• Cultivate relationships with existing donors and sponsors; identify and establish relationships with new prospects; execute on solicitation including cold calls.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communication Manager to identify, and source, relevant and impactful content to create compelling campaigns and donor stewardship communications.
• Manage and enhance awareness and annual giving opportunities for monthly, tribute, 3rd party fundraising events and planned giving.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and integrate all elements and fundraising messages associated with the annual plan, including appeals, impact reports, website and donor proposals.
• Responsible for the execution of appropriate stewardship, including thank you letters, email, phone calls, and donor recognition.
• Expertise in creating successful direct mail, marketing materials, online giving appeals including social media, and campaigns including integration of online fundraising platforms.
• Cultivate and maintain positive interactions with the public and positive interpersonal relations with the Board of Directors, volunteers and prospects.
• Support Rossbrook House Foundation Board of Directors and Committees by coordinating, preparing agendas, attending and preparing minutes, meetings as required.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned to support the overall goals of Rossbrook House Foundation.

Qualifications
• Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma (Fundraising, Public Relations, Marketing, Business).
• A minimum of five (5) years’ fundraising experience within the charitable sector.
• Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful annual fundraising strategies
• Excellent computer skills, with a high level of comfort working in MS Office Suite.
• Experience with Blackbaud – E-tapestry or other CRM software programs.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent people skills and ability to relate with donors.
• Capable of maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and work with tact and diplomacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to contribute to the team as well as work independently.
• Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check are required for employment

Rossbrook House Foundation offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The salary for this full-time position ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 depending on knowledge and experience.
