Since I retired from Peak of the Market, I have increased my time volunteering with Rossbrook House Foundation, and I’m honoured to be the Chair of the Board. I have come to realize that many people haven’t heard of Rossbrook House or the great things they do for our community. I’m dedicated to getting the word out about Rossbrook House and I need your help.

I’m excited to share details about the first-ever Radiothon in support of Rossbrook House. On Friday, February 14, the ‘Show Your Heart’ Radiothon will be live on 680 CJOB from 9am to 5pm with spots on Power 97 and Country 99. We’re thrilled to have this opportunity to highlight the many engaging activities and share heartwarming stories from participants while also raising much needed funds for programs and operations.

You may know that hundreds of children and youth from ages 6 to 24 drop in, many daily, for meals, activities, programs, and a safe place to be. Many Winnipeggers are still unaware of Rossbrook House or know very little about the importance of the doors remaining open 365 days each year. This Radiothon is a great way to spread the word.

The Radiothon costs have been covered by some of Winnipeg’s most generous companies who agree that more people need to know about Rossbrook House. While volunteers will be taking donations the day of the Radiothon, it is crucial to the success of our first-ever Radiothon that we have some donations in advance. We’re asking you to consider taking the lead and donate today to kick off a successful Radiothon.
