Previously known as the Ladies & Men’s Luncheon*, this event is a great opportunity to introduce a friend or two to Rossbrook House. Spend your lunch hour hearing from current and past participants about the important role Rossbrook House plays in their lives.
The Fall Gathering Luncheon will support Rossbrook House programs and operations.
Lunch will be prepared by the Rossbrook House Kitchen and term 1 Culinary Arts Students from RRC Polytech.

Chantel St Germaine
“I don’t know where I would be today if it wasn’t for Rossbrook House.”
Chantel St. Germaine is a former participant and staff of Rossbrook House. She and her siblings dropped in for after-school meals, programs, and outings. It’s here that she embraced her culture and learned to Pow Wow dance. She is a mother of three and shares her love of growing up at Rossbrook House with them. Two of her daughters participate in music lessons, Camp Maskwa, and the annual Pow Wow. Today she is a proud Indigenous woman working as the Cultural Program Manager at Marymound.
Valerie Henderson
“It’s amazing how children find their way to Rossbrook House.”
Valerie Henderson (then Val Mink) found her way to Rossbrook House at the age of 12 with the help of friends. She was amazed at how much was going on. She also found comfort and care from her teachers in the Eagles’ Circle off-campus school program. She became a staff member in 1987 and today is a supervisor. She has watched many children grow up at Rossbrook House, including her own son and now watches her grandchildren take part in programs and activities. Her oldest grandson, Adam, is part of the Junior Staff program.
Adam Mink
Adam likes “hanging out with other kids, walks to the park, and playing tag” with the younger participants. As a recent member of the Junior Staff team, Adam is learning job skills In the Rossbrook House kitchen as well as how to be a leader for the younger children. Adam now 14, has been a participant at Rossbrook House since he was only 6. Adam spends a lot if time at Rossbrook House with his sisters, taking part in programs like Learning Always, Leadership, and going to Camp Maskwa.
