Cold City Warm Hearts 2018

80 excited school-age participants from Rossbrook House and IRCOM (Immigration and Refugee Organization Committee of Manitoba) were bussed to FortWhyte Alive for an evening of fun and winter games!

The staff from both centres along with wonderful FortWhyte volunteers treated the kids to several slides down the super-fun toboggan run…

and gave them an introduction to snowshoeing…

It was a wonderful evening of friendship and outdoor appreciation!

And they also enjoyed an open fire with a bannock bake plus the ever popular blanket toss.

After an hour and a half of outdoor play, the kids were treated to a hot meal. Pizza Pizza donated the pizza for the tired and hungry kids!
